I finished this yesterday but then became violently ill. I'm off work sick and can't be arsed writing anything. Hopefully the pictures will do the talking. The word 'Purge' has a whole new meaning today...
Sooo beautiful! Really came together so well. Amazing job Monkey! As I said on FB, I think my favourite part is the claws. May just steal that for a Ravenguard build. Looks sooo nice.
Absolutely gorgeous; I've been following your Red Scorpions and Tyranids for quite some time and I love both your armies! As a Tyranids and Scorps collector myself who loves converting, seeing things like this is so inspiring! I really don't like the wee base flyer model, but what you've created with it is outstanding. Hope they find you an Apothecary soon!
I'm not a huge fan of the flying toaster either and I was getting bored with my StormRaven (the flying brick!) which is also pricey. The Apothecary restored D3 wounds this morning so I will fight on! Cheers mate!
Looking good! What did you use for the claws on the feet? They look like something I should recognize, but I can't quite place them. Hope you're feeling better!
Cheers, much better now. They are carved out of the horns from a horned skull decoration on the Arcane Ruins set. Everything in the conversion is GW kit come to think of it, although I was not going for a grimdark vibe. Guilliman has modernised the legio-- *cough* chapters and shook 'em up a bit I reckon.
Oh my, awesome! Absolutely brilliant mate, and get well soon!
ReplyDeletethanks Siph :)
DeleteHope you don’t mind the attention, but I had to share your awesome MechWarrior with the folks over at Reddit r/warhammer40k
DeleteNo worries. I wondered where all the hits were coming from. There may actually be tens of people who read this blog now!
DeleteJust got more hits in a day than I normally do in a month. You are now my marketing manager :)
DeleteThat's a thing of beauty!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nick, glad you like it!
